This week the children chose a penguin to make and to build a habitat for. They used shoe boxes along with a variety of medium: paint, modeling clay, tissue paper, cloth, felt, tin foil, cellophane, cotton... and so much more.

This week we are continuing to learn about penguins. We completed; the 'food', 'enemies' and labeling a penguin pages in our research book. We have learned lots of fun facts about penguins too. This week we had a zoo keeper come and talk to us about the penguins at the Calgary Zoo. The students started their research book by completing the habitat and chicks pages.
