Fall is here! We have been discussing how we know fall is here, what are the signs? This week the children; finished our soccer program, had library for the first time, collected leaves, went on a nature walk, made leaf rubbings and painted with tin foil!
The children have been taking part in a soccer program at school and they have been enjoying many centers. The children decorated their "Me Bag".
The children have been practicing printing their name using "kindergarten printing". Please practice this at home. Upper case for first letter and lower case for all other letters. We used q-tips to dot our names and used pastels and paint to write our name.
We read Ten Apples up on Top and then created a pattern using apples on our head. Many children did an ABAB pattern or an ABCABC pattern. But there are many different patterns. The pictures are on our bulletin board if you can stop by and see it during interviews for grades 1-4. The children are all settling in to kindergarten very well. We have been learning how to use our carpet manners, how to line up, and where everything is in our classroom and school. The children had a chance to go to gym and music this week as well. The children are trying to learn each others names which is always fun. Please remember to send in a healthy, nut free snack, no chocolate bars or candy please. |
