Only a few more days of kindergarten!! I can't believe it. I've really enjoyed each of your children and I will miss them very much, I made them promise me that they will come and visit when they are in grade 1. Here are some pictures of what we were up to this week, this will be my last blog of the year.

Our butterflies have hatched out of their chrysalises! We had so many flying around our net. We fed them bananas, oranges and grapes. We even saw a proboscis. It was super fun to release them out into the wild. It was cool today so the butterflies wanted to stay in the warm net, I and Miss Babineau had to take them out of our nets. Building Bird HousesDads, step-dads, grandfathers, moms and more came in to help us build and paint bird houses. It was so much fun!! Thank-you everyone! Your child made a wonderful card to go with the bird house.
Our caterpillars are now in the pupa stage; they are in a chrysalis. They will metamorphosize into butterflies next week!! We continued to do insect activities. The students did lady bug math and insect addition. They also drew a self portrait for the front of their memory book. Fishcreek ParkFriday we went to Bebo Grove and saw many wonderful things!! We found groups of 10 and did a scavenger hunt. The students got to see eggs on leaves, deer scat, trees that beavers chewed down, giant ant hills, squirrel and bird nests....So much!!
