This week we started talking about community helpers. Who are they? What do they do? How can they help us? We had a police officer come in and tell us all about her job. She talked about all of the tools she uses to help people. What kids of vehicles polices can drive or ride, the kids were very excited and surprised to see the police horses! We have fireman costume, a rescue costume, an apron for a chef in our house centre. The children have also enjoyed going to our Doctor centre. There is a receptionist, doctors, nurses and patients. They have taken very good care of each other. In our roomWe have continued to practice the group one letters and sounds, please continue to practice them at home as well. Next week we will learn the next group of letters. The children worked on math, counting and writing numbers. Last week we planted a few pumpkin seeds IN a pumpkin and they are beginning to grow!
