This week we continued to talk about fall, work on our names and explore numbers and patterns. Crunching, crunching leaves. It smells like fall. We will use these crushed leaves for an art project soon. Mat ManMat Man is our friend, he teaches us to have all of the body parts when drawing a person, except they forget the neck. Have your child sing the song for you and draw a person. We use the same lines to draw a person as we do to print our letters and numbers; Big line, little line, Big curve, little curve. I will use these terms when teaching the formation of letters and numbers. Fall treesWe painted with rolled paper this time. PatternsThe children each made a pattern and took a picture of it. Great work! Turkeys Step by step drawing of a turkey, gobble, gobble. We practiced making turkey noises too. BuddiesOur buddy class is Ms.Smart's grade 4 class. Today we used toilet paper rolls and our hands and made turkeys.
