This week we continued to learn about community helpers. We had a visit from a fire chief and a fire fighter. They brought some of their tools and their uniform. It was really cool! Ask your child about "Stay low and go" and "Stop drop and roll". She gave the children homework to check their smoke alarms and make an exit plan in case of a fire. The children 'doctored' me up; I had many broken bones which needle a cast and a sling, Lots of medicine and needles. I also had a vision test and needed glasses. They took very good care of me. MathThis week we worked on counting and making groups of numbers. Sometimes we used a ten frame. We practiced printing the number one. Letters and JournalsThe children practiced the sounds and letters we have learned by playing Roll a Sound. We read "The Peace Book" and wrote in our journals about what peace is to us.
