Wow! You sure can get a lot done in a 5 day week! We had lots of new centres out for owls and pumpkins. We practiced the number 2 on chalkboards then in our printing book. The students made a pumpkin patch and an owl picture. We made owl babies, like the story we watched on youtube, Owl Babies. The students hammered golf tees onto pumpkins on the letter P for pumpkin. HalloweenOur Halloween party was great fun! We started the day with a scavenger hunt in partners which I chose to give the children a chance to make a new friend. The children cleaned out pumpkins, carved faces on them and made bracelets. We kept on of the pumpkins to make pumpkin pie!! Yum! BuddiesToday we met our grade 4 buddies. We did an owl craft using our hands and then we shared the pumpkin pie that we made with them. Ms.Knight came in a made the pie with us. I took home the cleaned out pumpkin and cooked it, then we made the pie Thursday and ate it on Friday. It was delicious!!
