This week we were exploring fall. We have leaves to smell, touch and crunch in our nature table, we have drawn leaves and painted them with water colors, made fall trees with modeling clay, painted trees at our paint centre and experimented with colors to try to match leaf colours.
LettersThis week we started our Jolly Phonics program. This program uses songs, stories and actions to teach children the letter sounds. We begin with the sound /s/, it is tricky to print so please practice at home. BuddiesWe made leaf gliders, also know as paper airplanes shaped like leaves. We took them outside to try them out and modify them if they needed it. It was a little breezy so some of the planes went very far.
