This week we learned about pumpkins. Ask your child what the life cycle of a pumpkin is! We read books and watched videos about pumpkins growing. The students made a life cycle crown and decorated a pumpkin with a pattern and 'leaf glitter'. LettersThe children continue to work on printing their name, please practice at home. We made colourful name tags using pastels and paint. We also started our Jolly Phonics Program. Each week the children will learn a few letters and sounds in the alphabet. Each letter has an action and a song assigned to it. I have included the songs below. We learned /s/ today, please practice the sound and printing the letter. The students practiced printing an 's' on our chalkboards and in their green printing book. Other CentersThe children painted some lovely pictures to decorate our room. Our light table has pieces to make numbers and markers to connect the quantity with the numeral.
